Recently, we had a group of little people from Stellenbosch Nursery school visiting us.  They had lots of fun on the farm and at our petting zoo.

Christening at Le Pommier

This past weekend we celebrated the Christening of beautiful baby girl, Gabriella.

A traditional christening (also known as a baptism) follows the liturgy, a prepared ceremony, which varies among different Christian religions. The ceremony ends with holy water being poured over the baby's head - sometimes the ceremony requires the child to be completely immersed in water - this rite is considered to either be a sacrament or ordinance that welcomes a newborn into the Christian community and formally bestows a Christian name on the child.
